I would hope calm and sanity would return! It was something to witness to say the least. Feel like I should get a t-shirt printed that says... "I survived the AU message board coaching hire crucible"...or something to that effect.

Can't put into words how glad I am to have a subscribtion to this website during this coaching search. Phillip, Bryan, Ron, and the rest are outstanding at what they do. Now I hope they have some time to get some rest. Thanks guys.

Now that the dust has settled, I think most Auburn supporters are growing more excited every passing hour by the hiring of Gus. The fact that he was put on a leash by two different coaches (Nutt and Chizik) and there was never a hint that he talked behind their back, or in any way tried to denigrate them, speaks volumes about his integrity and character. The fact that he was able to overcome all obstacles and become head coach at Auburn speaks to his fortitude and iron resolve to succeed. Football is about to become fun again at Auburn!

I don’t understand the comments against Malzahn. He took our miserable 2008 team and turn into a 9-5 team. Granted Cam had a lot to do with our success in 2010. Before the season in 2011 I remember the talking heads stating there was no way Auburn could win six games with the loss of players from 2010. Remember this was before Gene made him change his approach to slow down the one thing that made his offense work. We also beat South Carolina at home which was not insignificant. I think most will be pleasantly surprised with his success in the coming years. I for one am on the GUS Bus!! War Eagle!!
