  • I'm with Phillip, keep the vandy nonsense in perspective. Had Tennessee and Auburn had their traditional seasons vandy would have never beaten either one of them. The rest of the sec east speaks for itself.

The biggest jackass in the SEC found a way to lose to the biggest A hole in college football. If little nick ever takes another job UAT will probably hire Dabo as there next coach. He fits the mold as the next TURD coach, and the mobile home trash would love him,a perfect fit for that program.......

    You nailed it.

The Clemson victory is another example of an outstanding hurry-up offense winning against an outstanding pro type defense. This even more promising for Auburn since the offense was much like Malzahn's. I believe that with Malzahn's offense we have the best chance to consistantly win in the SEC and beat Saban.

That's exactly what I was thinking as the ball went through the uprights. I don't think there is any doubt that LSU had more quality athletes on the field than Clemson. But in the end, lsu lost because they couldn't move the ball consistently and clemson could. The game wasn't really as close as the score indicated since 14 of lsu's points came from a short field td following a turnover and 1 long run. They couldn't punch in a td when they needed it and had to settle for a fg late when they needed a td to put the game away.

I got a chuckle when I heard the discussion regarding all the momentum a team got by winning a bowl game in light of the '07 and '11 AU bowl games and the results of the following seasons. One more thing a win does impact is the preseason rankings the following summer. So what. The optimism might cause a team to lose its edge.

  • One more thing, with regard to Kiffin. I think he shares one feature with CGC and others. Both have a "look" about them - clean cut, handsome, square jaw, physically fit, a lot of direct eye contact and they know how to talk the talk with the people that matter. I saw numerous similar examples of people like that in the corporate world during my career. Some also had the requisite drive and talent to get the job done, some didn't. But all moved up the ladder much quicker than the average looking employee. Eventually some were found out, some did great jobs and some just got by. But their "presence" was invaluable in getting them opportunities. The older guys used to say something like "I like the cut of his jib" or "it was a 'gut' hire" when referring to new employees with that kind of "presence".

Ironically, many players in many sports are recruited at least partially due to this, they just look like a ball player. But in athletics, a higher percentage are eventually revealed for what they truly bring to the table because on the field or on the sideline, performance is all that counts.

  • Went to the Kickoff Classic at the Georgia Dome, so I was hoping that the other SEC Tigers would beat the ACC Tigers.

  • Phillip I will never figure out Lane Kiffin, I was USC I would depart from him as quick possible, I believe he's a poor coach and lousy human being the way he conducts himself.

It's a new day in Auburn football!

  • Franklin is different and so are the rules he follows. Gone are the days of higher academic standards. I know several of the players and the weights and conditioning are at a level never seen at Vandy. Back to back bowls. One is a fluke.

  • If I were a LSU supporter I would be asking who was the genius who called for 2 staight passes at 2nd and 2 yds to go and then 3rd and 2 yds to go. Clemson may have stuffed the run both times but they would have burned 2 timeouts. Of course I would not have thrown the ball on 1st and 10 either. Kiffin must have something on the AD's at Tenn and USC.

  • Maybe LSU will be smart enough next time to run the ball and make Clemson use up all their time outs. After having second and 2 LSU passed the ball twice which left Clemson 2 time outs and enough time to kick a field goal for the win.

I noticed that the A hole seemed to be working on that "sportsmanship" thing, in prep for assention at UAT. What I have to wonder about is how Clemson got those ball players; seems to me that an NCAA investigation (like AU has had and is threathened with again) isn't more appropriate for them, plus Miss. St.
