Very good news. All we, as fans, need now is patience because our athletes playing football may have been misguided more than we know, and it may take an effort over more than one season to get all the cars back on the track. Coach Malzahn's recruits seem to be filling questionable spots of some years. Watching the safety play in some bowl games will get attention very quickly. They play as tnhough it is their ball and where did you get the idea it isn't.

War Eagle! This is a better coaching than I think even the most optimistic Auburn fans could have hoped for. With Garner, Craig, and Harbison we have three of the better recruiters in college football. With Malzahn, Johnson, and Bisaccia we have some top rate coaches who shy in comparison to none when it comes to the schematics of football. I'm sure every coach on this staff will contribute greatly to the rebuilding of our proud football program. I'm even excited about Lashlee, does anyone else other than Malzahn himself know this offense better than Rhett. With J.B. Grimes we are getting a plethora of experience with an old school demeanor. Melvin Smith turned that Miss St unit into a very formidable unit so I'm thinking he'll do the same for us. Sunshine pumper or not but I think I speak for most when I say it was great day to be a fan of the Auburn Tigers and the future seems very bright once again. WAR DAMN EAGLE!

Another point about Lashlee, many have mentioned his meteoric rise in the coaching ranks and the fact that the majority of his coaching tenure has been with Malzahn. I think that speaks to CGM's ability to recognize someone's raw talent, the intelligence to hire/retain that person and the ability to develop that person into someone that others are vying for to have them on their team. I don't think that CGM is the type of person to keep a coach around just because he happens to like him. Lashlee is what I call a "fast tracker" and his star will continue to rise. If I were to rate him as we do recruits, I would rate him a 5 star.

We all could use, a little good news, these days. (I think that lyric is from a cheesy song but its spot on)
My dad was a wonderful man and he died last year at 66. Auburn football has always been a way to cheer me up if times were rough - 2012 was not a good year for me.
As long as we see signs for hope, football will be fun again. Right now, some gashes are being stitched up at Auburn. War eagle boys!
