Phillip, Ron & Bryan, Merry Christmas to you all and to your families who allow you to do what you do. To all the Auburn family, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. As I consider all the blessings that have been bestowed upon me (my children, family, friends) I fight back tears for those families that have been torn apart by the tragedy in CT. Know that as long as you keep your eyes focused on HIM-there will always be HOPE!!!!!!

My two boys and girl are the joys of my life. They love me like my wiener dog Richard does - unconditionally. I really don't want to think of how I would feel if I was one of the parents dealing with that type of tragedy.

One of my favorite Christmas memories comes from 5 years ago. My wife and I sat in the Atlanta airport for about three hours early that Christmas morning. Several servicemen came through (individually) on their way home for leave. There weren't a lot of people in the airport but each serviceman who came through got a loud round of applause as they passed by; a recognition that they - and everyone who has worn the uniform - richly deserved. Thank you for your service. God bless you.
And Phillip; you got that right about it not getting any better than those greetings from the grandchildren. My granddaughter is 2 and a half and that happy cry of "Grandpa!" is sweet, sweet music.
