Thanks Phillip, great read. What a ride it has been so far....... just can't help but get excited about Auburn football again. After the 2012 meltdown I said I was going to keep my hopes and expectations in check but since this got started on Dec 4th I just can't help myself! I can't wait to get this 2013 season started!!! WDE Gus!

It has been a crazy start for him. There has been news every single day since he's taken over and with signing day and A-Day coming it doesn't appear to be slowing down at all. I'm glad I have a subscription.

I doesn't hurt him being down here at the Senior Bowl when Jonathan Walton and Wilson Bell just happen to be within spitting distance of Ladd Peebles Stadium where the south is also practicing...... wouldn't surprise me at all that Gus is still working in more ways than one!!

Phillip, am I right in saying that you did not think that the Gene Chizik hire was a good one? From all indications, it seems that you feel that the Gus Malzahn hire was a much better hire. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think Gene Chizik's finish was a good one. Not sure you can say a hire that resulted in a national championship wasn't a good one. I have never compared the hiring of Malzahn to the hiring of Chizik one way or the other.

It is hard not to be excited about Gus, this staff, the players and the work ethic. My Bama friends are so busy celebrating their 1,786,435th National Championship they don't see the Gus Bus sneaking up on them. Heeehheeee. WDE!
