I wanted BOOM, and no one else would do!
I feel THAT VERY SAME WAY about Bobby Petrino. now, as I did about Moose, the last time around.
Petrino will return to football with an even a hotter fire in his belly, than before. HE LOVED WINNING BEFORE! The guy has made some mistakes, publicly apologized, and vowed to come back EVEN BETTER THAN BEFORE (Lord, please let it be for us, and not against us!)
Hiring Petrino is simply a no-brainer! He has proven that he can rebuild programs, and do so quickly.
Petrino is ABSOLUTELY the best play caller to ever call an offensive football play. bar none.
Petrino's offense is a balanced attack of run/pass. He is an aggressive offensive coach. Scoring 50-60 ppg is nothing new for him.
Lastly, but definitely not least, since Petrino has no current contract to buyout, AU can offset plenty of Jacobs' screw up, pay new assistants very well, while hiring the NO- BRAINER OF A LIFETIME!
Phillip, be the bearer of good news this time! Just tell us that Bobby Petrino will be announced as Auburn's Head Football Coach, ASAP..............and mean it.
