The details definitely aren't stored in my head, but it's all out there on the internet. You just have to know enough to know when something isn't accurate and then know what to look up to prove it.
Like if an Alabama fan says the typical line of "you only beat us when we're down" comment. I've looked up enough stuff over the years to know we have a winning record against them when we're both Top 10 teams. I don't necessarily remember the exact record, but I know it generally enough that it sends me off to research the exact record and post it so that the "you only beat us when we're down" looks pretty ridiculous (we're 5-3).
Or if a Georgia fan tries to say we have no chance to beat them because they're ranked #7 and we're ranked #19 and we're playing in Athens. Well, I know enough to know that's not accurate. So I look it up, and what do you know, they are 1-3 against us in Athens when they're in the Top 10 and we're ranked 11-25. Doesn't mean we'd win that next one, but they definitely have nothing to brag about in that scenario in the past.
So you have to have a good enough general knowledge to run things through a good filter. But I don't know all these details off the top of my head. I just have a decent idea of what to look up to prove or disprove a perception or misconception about different programs and scenarios. And most of all...I enjoy it.
