THE GOOD:
The rushing attack has been great, despite teams intent to stop it first.
The passing game has been efficient and effective, and is getting better by the game.
Even the though the ranking of scoring offense is down, the points-per-game is actually up.
3rd down conversion, a big problem last year, is improving, thanks largely to Cam Newton's ability to run at least 3 yards almost automatically.
THE BAD:
Punt returns are better, and not nearly as scary, but the yardage gained, which helps field position, hasn't been great.
Red Zone offense has been mediocre, which shouldn't be a problem for this offense.
PS. one note on Red Zone offense....Alabama won the national title last year with a .86 Red Zone conversion rate, and current ranked teams like Oregon (.85), Nebraska (.72), Florida (.78) and Miami (.78) are all in the lower half of the country in that category. Even Alabama is only at .87.
