When Chizik was DC didn't he also coach the secondary? Yes he, in fact, did. Why waste thousands of $$$ on a coach when we have one of the best to have ever been at AU as our head coach. Just a thought

Because Chizik needs to devote more time to running the program and recruiting. If he spends a lot of time coaching the secondary, the other more critical areas will not receive the attention they deserve.

That would be the same as when you get promoted to shift lead, still requiring you to cook the burgers.
