I'm with you, Skillet, I've had similar thoughts. It's courageous of you to express rational concerns on boards like this because we as fans can be very irrational at times.

I think GM's hires have been terrific and things certainly look bright, but I remember how giddy we all were about Van Gorder's hire and three straight stellar recruiting classes and I also remember the last time we had co-OCs when Tubs was still here. No negativism here; rather, it's cautious optimism, but we still have to produce on the field. Like another poster said, Gus seems to be able to learn from other people's mistakes, which is a mark of wisdom and intelligence. I think he'll get it done, but we'll have to wait to find out.

So many of these have worked together in the past, I am not seeing the issue as we saw when Tubs brought on Franklin or Chiz put together a recruiting staff and handcuffed Gus.
