I got one a couple weeks ago and I am very pleased with it. Had a Motorola Atrix 2 before this but will not go back to Motorola after buying this phone. Still getting use to it, but its a great phone so far

The Galaxy S3 should have the JellyBean OS on it, which is excellent.. It came out after Ice Cream Sandwich, which is also a good Android OS IMO.

Ahh, gotcha' I was going to say get the phone I have, because it would be cheaper (Than it's normally ridiculously high price) with the upgrade price, but I do not think Verizon offers it.. Either way, you can not go wrong with the S3, it is a great phone. Samsung makes a great phone in general, I had the S2 as well, and loved it also.

From what I've read it has ice cream sandwich, but they may have upgraded it since the phones original release

I believe the newer S3's purchased have Jelly Bean on them now, but if not Ice Cream Sandwich is a good OS, but you can upgrade it off-air if you'd like..
Program on the computer called 'Samsung Kies' you can upgrade from ICS to Jelly Bean. If you get your phone and it does have Ice Cream on it still and you want to upgrade to JB, send me a PM and I can walk you through how to do it.

I have zero lag issues and the battery life is great. With medium usage (meaning I check facebook, AUC, use it as a mobile hotspot, etc. on and off throughout the day), I can usually go a day and a half sometimes two days before I charge it.

I personally don't have 1 I have the note 2 but its basically a smaller version of the note 2. As for as the Note 2 go i love it so yeah get it.
