OT: Urgent. Please read regarding major severe weather.

I know this has nothing to do with AU. But seeing so many people are traveling tomorrow evening and night it needs to be put out here. Looks like a major severe wether outbreak is possible tomorrow evening across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. With the potential for these strong, violent long track tornadoes. I just wanted to put this out there so people on here that live in these states especially AL that you need to be weather aware tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow night. This looks very dangerous for our state. Stay safe, Merry Christmas and War Eagle.

Thanks for the heads-up. I was actually just checking the weather as we are driving from Louisville down to Athens, Al to visit with my family for Christmas. Looks like the evening is going to be rough in north Alabama.

Heading down to Hoover in the morning for Christmas with the grands, but thank goodness we decided to just spend tomorrow night, and they have a basement. Makes me feel better than it would here in North Alabama without one, and 5 miles from the killers of 2011.

^This. From everything I'm reading and seeing, North Alabama is on the low end in terms of likelihood for severe weather. The larger threat is south of Birmingham.

Ahhh good. From what I saw on noaa.gov earlier, Christmas night was set to have severe thunderstorms. Looks like they've downgraded it a fair bit. Thanks for the update.

ALL of Alabama will see severe weather tomorrow. As far north as th TN border but the greater threat for long track tornadoes is south of AL highway 278

I was just thinking, couldnt remember when it was but we had temps in the upper 70's that year on christmas day. anyone remember
