my friend with the electric on demand had problems within a few months of his house being built.

I have built 9 houses in the last few years Plumbing supply and City building code recommended them highly. Have used them in 6 houses oweners love them they save money even with base cost of $750 plus they pay for themselves in 2.5 yrs Recommend a gas unit burns hotter and cleaner but needs venting Electric is OK but not as efficent I also suggest you talk to plumber abou plumt mannibloc plumbing system Its like a plumbing breaker box all water cutoffs in one unit & lasts forever good luck

Go gas... You won't regret it... Could not be more efficient.

Go with the gas for sure. We had two tank heaters and I replaced them both with a gas tank-less. They have their little quirks, nothing major.. We love it.
Literally you can run the hot water all day and never run out. Power bill dropped about 30 bucks a month and didn't notice much of an increase in the gas bill.

I sold plumbing supplies for years do not go electric tankless, nothing but problems.
