I had some additional information to share that I had forgotten about.

When I lived in Prattville I was so fed up with Charter that I decided to switch to Knology even though at the time their service was going to be more expensive. I called Knology to setup their services, and talked to a customer service rep who said that she would have someone from their sales department call me to schedule a technician to come out and get things setup. 3 weeks went by and no one called me. I finally called them back and got a customer service rep and told her my story. She didn't seem particularly apologetic and said she would have a sales rep call me back to schedule a technician to come out. I told her not to bother with it, and that if this is how bad their service is when someone is trying to purchase their services, I would hate to see what happens when I have a problem or need support.

I ended up enduring Charter until we moved to Millbrook and got Brighthouse. So...I guess what I'm saying is if you only have the choice between Charter and Knology...I'm sorry

Is Ross Park right there near Mellow Mushroom? Right across the train tracks, right? Sadly enough I don't get "downtown" as often as I should... And I haven't looked at apartments for years now... Reminds me of college though; I think I had a buddy who lived there. About the closest thing I get to any college experience anymore is getting to play xbox every once in a while!

Another option you could/should consider is satellite. From what I understand dish and directv have some pretty decent deals; it's just that you'd still have to deal with charter, knology or at&t for some internet services.

Sorta. If you cross the train tracks at the post office you continue straight and it takes you straight to Ross Park. I did check out DirecTV but had a question. See above post.
