Any place I must eat, drink, visit? Thanks in advance
Visit 16th street mall. Downtown is a nice area especially around Coors Field. You will find a lot of bars and restaurants.
If you are a beer lover: Wynkoop Brewing and Breckenridge brewing are worth going to. Also The Falling Rock Tap House has the best selection of beer. The SEC has a great following in Denver, so if you are going to watch any of the games, it is always fun to go to that schools alumni bar. I have been to the LSU bar (used to be Blake St Tavern) several times, and they are a fun and very welcoming group.
The Buckhorn Exchange is a famous old restaurant in Denver. They are known for serving a large variety of game. I didn't think they food was that great, but it is always featured on tv and has a cool history.
Hope my ramblings help!
Also for a cocktail and a good view of the city go to Peaks Lounge in the Hyatt Hotel. It is on the 20 something floor and has a great view of the city/Mountains
Last time I was there, there was this place called "Diamond Cabaret and Steakhouse" They cook a great steak! Scenery can get you in trouble, though.
I live in Denver, if you want good bar food hit up Cherry Cricket in Cherry Creek great burger. If you want some fine dining hit up Fruition on 6th ave small place great American Cuisine. If you are looking for some good brew Oskar Blues in Longmont Co. owned by Auburn Grad Dale Katechis is awesome but not in Denver about 45 min north of town. GB fish and chips on Broadway is great owned by a British family has great fish and chips. You could always do Elways in Cherry Creek or downtown. I would not recommend Buckhorn Exchange however. War Eagle and welcome to Denver.
Thanks to all!!
