So help me, if Auburn hires Kerwin Bell I think I will flip out over it! Talk about underwhelming after waiting so long for an offensive coordinator. I don't see him as a good hire at all and I don't see how he'd help recruiting wise either. He has no big time coaching experience. I don't consider head coach at Jacksonville University all that great. Auburn can do much better, I'm not sure why Bell would be the chosen direction. I'd rather take somebody with big time experience. He may be great one day, not now.

Unless of course......we average 425 yards of offense, 200 yards rushing the ball, along with maybe 30 points or so.
I know you won't get excited...but haven't we learned anything about hires? We care about being excited when the team is on the field, not when they're watching the press conference on TV. I know you know all that, just reminding not to get too up or down about anyone we hire.
Jim McElwain wasn't very exciting for Alabama a few years back. One year at Fresno St. One year with QBs with the Raiders. A few years at Michigan State when they weren't any good. He turned out pretty good.
Charlie Weis was an offensive genius...until he wasn't anymore and a worse offense than we did this year.
The hire will be, and can only be, judged once we see if we're any good.
