  • As has been demonstrated repeatedly by 30 years of statistics put together by jadennis and others, the years of domination of SEC football by Alabama are ancient history. Those who blindly claim it continues are on a par with the neo-Nazis in Germany, still goose-stepping with their discredited swastika flag, and similarly worthy only of our derisive laughter or sympathetic charity.

Alabama football is not even dominant within its own state borders. Auburn should seriously consider becoming their defender when they are derided by outsiders. After all, if we don't stand up for them, who will? We should protect them from mistreatment. We don't get to choose our siblings, but we don't tolerate anyone bullying a disadvantaged little brother, no matter how much we dislike him ourselves.

Auburn has a responsibility to shoulder this burden and recognize Alabama as our little brother, whether we like it or not.violin
