Hope this is a learning moment for this team. Watched a team that with a little more effort could have beaten the number 12 team in the country on the road. Hope this team realizes how close they are. I think we're getting there and have thought all along that CTB was the right hire. A win next week vs. FSU could really get this team going.

I think this team has some talent. They looked like they were giving very good effort today. They just don't know how to win yet. Once they get a little success, I think they'll surprise some folks. At least I hope so. I don't believe in "moral" victories but they acquitted themselves pretty well today. WDE

saw the game and there was definitely some home cooking, but if AU plays the way they did today in the SEC we could make some noise! Let's show up at the FSU game and give AU the home court advantage, sending them into the SEC with some momentum...WDE!

A block out here and better ball handling there would have made a difference. This just makes the Winthrop loss more unacceptable to me.

I hate that we cannot get a win but I'm pleased at how they played today. Looking back over the season so far, it seems like we play well for about 37-38 minutes and let the game slip between our hands. I hope they start to realize that if they keep the effort all 40 minutes, we can easily make the NIT this year and possibly the Tournament. We're 5-7 but there are still PLENTY of games left to improve.

Tough loss. Sounds like they played hard. Won the rebound battle. D kept the 2nd ranked Big Ten offensive player to only 13 and horrible shooting %... Can't quite get the breaks they need to pull out the W's though...
Been at the in-laws all day and havent gotten to watch it on dvr yet - plan to do it tomorrow or Monday

AU looked like a team that played with passion and an emerging confidence. At the 3:00 minute mark, when the game was a one point margin, Illinois made a play or two and AU could not answer and it became uphill at the end. Yet...the Tigers never gave up and closed back to two in the final score. Playing with heart the full 40 minutes against a good team in a hostile environment is encouraging to say the least.

Didn't see a second of the game but i'm proud of the team. They proved me wrong as i said they would get blown out. Just like AU basketball to play great in games we aren't supposed to have a chance, yet lose to a directional school we should destroy.

when the home team makes more free throws than the visitors even get to shoot, well it is called home court advantage for a reason. If you check the box score of each game in ttown, you will quickly see why uat won or lost ...follow the free throws
