Say what you will about Auburn and the players and the coaches, but there are other factors that have led Auburn to this halftime defecit. So far, I have seen the following:
Opening kickoff: There was a clear block in the back from lsu - No call.
(But, admittedly, that call is often overlooked.)
On an lsu third down conversion, clear hold, by the shoulder pads - No call.
(again - often missed.)
On the Pass Interference call against Auburn that set up the last lsu TD:
When a ball is uncatchable, PI does not apply. Because the ball was batted down 3 yards before
reaching its destination, it was uncatchable. Bad call. Rather than an lsu punt - first down.
On the next play: blatant hold or it's a sack. lsu TD. No Call.
I am NOT saying that the game is fixed or anything like that. I am simply pointing out situations in which Auburn got a "bad bounce". Switch them around and we might be looking at a 14-13 ball game at the half.
Oh, spots. Yes, home field has its priveleges. First drive, lsu RB bounced two yards along the turf to inch out a first on third. Otherwise, PUNT AWAY. So, the cookie crumbles.
Here is two a fair, hard fought, AUBURN second half. Let's get out there and make this thing 21-10 in a hurry!
Hating uga since 1892.
The reason we are losing is because we are getting our butts whipped.
