The Bodda Getta

Went to the Shrimp Basket tonight... packed and the food is exactly as in Gulf Shores. Very good.
We have tried most places along the Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach area and have never been impressed by most of those so called Good Seafood places ... the Shrimp Basket beats most of them easily and for half the price.

As far as the Developer talk... maybe we should gather the folks that have had food places along that stretch that are not in those locations anymore and ask them... and I really don't think THEY were all sleazy people! Some are still in business just not leasing from the same folks. ...That dude has a very bad Rep in Auburn, anytime the subject comes up at any gatherings or parties its the same ole story... if its not true, that guy should have the newspaper do a story to clear his name... we have heard this stuff for the last 11 years since we moved back to Auburn.

Anyone have the over/under on how long it can stay in business at that location? It is a very tough place to stay afloat. When that many places go out of business in one location there is probably a common link to why. I don't know the reason it keeps happening but something seems to be going on that hurts that place. Thats just my opinion because the location is not bad. I hope it does well but if not just enjoy it while it last.

I didn't care much for The Oaks. Nor anything else that has been in there since Hooters (I don't care for Hooters either, but I never ate at that one) and I have eaten/drank (Flip Flops anyone?) at every single place that was put there. My favorite for being bad was Baja Burrito, it was like a crappy version of Moe's and by crappy I mean worse than Salsarita's in Foy.

Good to hear the the Shrimp Basket seems to be a solid joint. It is on my list of places to go soon.
