I live in Foley and we have had one for years! Best seafood anywhere hands down. He buys from the locals on the gulf. Gulf shrimp can't be beat! Enjoy it guys and War Eagle!

Will be venturing to Auburn to give it a try this weekend. My wife is from the Gulf Shores area and this brings a part of home for her up to our neck of the woods. AUsome.

I'm interested to see what kind of business the Wings U being built does, as the one here in Montgomery is a $100, 000 a week store.

There are 20 other seafood places I would eat at in G. Shores before I would eat at the shrimp basket. It's a tourist trap with fair tasting food (the yankees love it), but I guess it will be one of the few games in town at Auburn.

I am in Destin now and plan to eat at the Shrimp Basket here tonight. Great crayfish tails. Excited it has come to Auburn.

I'm really excited about seeing this open in Auburn. There was a pretty good "fast" seafood place on College Street when I was at AU in the 80's but I haven't been able to find one this year, when I started going back for football/to see the child.
Can't wait to get some oysters on my next trip.

Exactly. My grandparents owned several restaurants in their lives and it was dang hard work. My mother always said she'd rather scrub floors for a living before she'd own a restaurant after growing up around that business. A lot of people get into it thinking it will be a "fun" (?) business, and find out fast they are not cut out for it.
