NFL draft question

  • Who do you want your favorite team to select with its 1st round pick? If there are any Raiders on this board first pick in the 3rd round ;)
    Being from Indiana and a Colts fan my obvious answer is Luck. Any TB fans on here? If so how do you feel about possibly landing Trent Richardson at #5

  • Dolphins fan, and I fully support the Tannehill pick if he's there. We have been looking for a true replacement for Marino for a decade and a half. Pulling the trigger in the first round would hopefully fill that void.

  • The good thing about the Panthers, which is being overlooked, is that there is only one team drafting ahead of them that is projected to take a defensive player (Jaguars). Effectively, the Panthers have the pick of the litter on defense which is what they definitely need the most, so they should be able to draft the best defensive player at whatever position they want. At worst, they get the second or third best defensive player in the draft, so it's really like they have a top 2 or 3 pick, instead of only the 9th pick.

    I have been a Falcons fan and I hate be to be wishy washy but they have just let me down too many times and picked up too many Bama players for me. Also, I moved to SC last year so I'm not that far from Charlotte and I'm a big Cam homer so I find myself pulling for the Panthers more. That being said, I hope the Panthers can pick up some major help on the D Line. That should be their first priority and then some OL. They have a decent amount of talent at WR, but another big play receiver wouldn't hurt with Steve Smith getting quite old in football years.

    And luckily for Panther fans, the Jaguars will draft a player that wasn't on the top of anybodies board and probably a second rounder for most teams. I have seen mocks that have TB taking Claiborne at #5 so Carolina might be the 3rd team taking a defensive player.

    The reason I asked about TR to TB instead of to the Browns is I assumed that there would be more Tampa fans on this board than Browns fans just about anywhere.
