I have been a very vocal supporter of Bobby Petrino. He is my man. I have even emailed Gogue and JJ fervently urging them to hire him in the best interests of AU. I have been getting angrier and angrier at Gogue's and JJ's stonewalling an interview if not censuring Petrino.

I have recently had a baptism of sorts and when i came up to the surface of a new understanding I was transformed. I saw a light which is Smart. I understood that there is no way Bobby is going to be given the light of day here at Auburn, which is my school. And yes i hate it but that is reality. Miraculously, all of a sudden, my negativity and apprehension about everything evaporated and I felt an inner peace. I "saw" that Kirby Smart has a lot of positives and I view him as a Will Muschamp. He is young and vigorous and has been in a winning program. He is very capable on defense and will likely keep intact all our 4 and 5 star defensive recruits who we desperately need as our future core. He will cause a mini meltdown at Alabama if we hire him and likely will not coach their championship game . I see Smart as embodying the new energy we need to rehabilitate and succeed. I see that Pat Dye is maybe not all that crazy after all. I am feeling good. That said, if we hire Chad Morris I will completely . I am still heartbroken about my man BP but I see his situation is untenable here and Kirby is the best of the rest and won't it feel good that we didn't hire Chad or Gus.
