I saw Blakely in practice last year a few times and he is a tremendous running back. I said last year that just from a practice evaluation I like his style a little better than Dyer. I personally like runningbacks with a very quick first step, like Kenny Irons had. Comparing the two is hard because they are very diffferent. Blakely is probably about 205, while Mike played at about 210. Blakely is much faster, quicker and agile. Dyer had tremendous balance and they are both the same from what I have seen as for as vision and between the tackles. I think people forget how good Blakely was the year we were recuiting him. I believe that Blakely and Grant are going to be extremely good. The best thing that could have happened to Grant is that he went to UA and got screwed. He now has fire under his butt and has something to prove. I saw Grant in the athletic facility a few days ago at the Tiger Tales event and I would say he has to be at least 205 - 210 pounds now. He does not look like the old Grant from Opelika High School.

The main difference as it stands right now, Dyer is a proven commodity in the SEC, Blakley is not. Hopefully that will change, he certainly has all the tools. Time will tell and I shall certainly be pulling for him and Corey Grant - WDE

I've heard the same about Corey. Can't remember having this much talent at RB. 04 was close.
