Coach Gus knows that recruiting is the backbone of victory and isn't going to forget it or let his people forget it. Very comfiorting., Another thing that's comforting is that the new staff knows that toughness starts with conditiioning and strength. Forget that and when you run into guys that haven't, suffer your forgetfulness. I think Auburn Football has found a heart.

Bryan, does he have any plans to meet with Foster? To me, that's the biggest question. Also, if Auburn gets Harbison does that increase their chances any to swoop in and get Montravius Adams.

You look and see how much Gus is getting done in just three days. He sounds more like my kind of guy. Gene took weeks to do what Gus did in hours..
There was absolutely no reason for Gene to take so long with his decisions. Looking back, it appears that Gene had no sense of urgency in general. It seems he didn't plan ahead very well either.
The great thing with the coordinators-turned-head coach is that they have had all those years to think about what they would do when given the chance. Once given the chance they work their tails off to prove themselves. After some big time success they seem to relax too much.

Hell Gene took months man. This is SO REFRESHING. In addition, the information is not so lock and key. This is great. I have a feeling that Phillip may enjoy working with Malzahn as Auburn's HC a whole lot more than he did with Gene Chizik. The guy was so tight to the vest but Gus seems willing to talk and discuss things.
I am wondering if he is also doing that even more so because of the silent nature that was instilled before he came back as our newest head coach. He is making a complete break from the previous regime, so he may be indeed making sure he gives the public more access than Gene did.

I think Cunningham would fit well into Ellis' criteria for fast/athletic defenders. Like his size (6-4) and already has a good foundation at 196 lbs.
