I agree with Sam - this coaching search is giving me whiplash. I'm not going to get excited one way or another until it's official and when I see what assistants are staying or hired.

Well... Arkansas just hired a coach that has a 68-24 record in seven seasons at Wisconsin, which is set to make its third consecutive Rose Bowl appearance, and we got a 1 year coach... assuming Gus is hired...

Dyer just got caught doing what so many other players do so did Pike I don't play for the team but it's not that hard to tell. Some can handle the popularity given through being a standout player and others will do what they choose i.e. make poor decisions. Malzahn recruited plenty more than just Pike and Dyer I find it amusing however that those are the only two so many seem to remember. Clean your glasses folks he is a good hire better than some of the others that were listed prior. I look forward to the future as an Auburn fan.

Still, Gundy was at Arkansas earlier, we're not talking about high end journalism out of that state today. They also reported Tubs to Arkansas at one point in '07

I'm a lifelong Auburn fan and bleed blue & orange but it pains me to once again say that Auburn isnt willing to take the steps needed to hire a big name who will change Auburn football as Saban did at Alabama. Time to go big or go home. Mark this post. Gus will top out with a season of 9-4 at best
