Guys and Gals. I am not an Auburn fan per se, rather I just took an interest given that you all had Gus and some Arkansas recruits. I think you all will be very happy with Gus if in fact he is your coach. I have followed him for a while since his High School days and he can flat out coach.

My silly Alma Mater's choice will be far less appealing I suspect. Give Gus a chance if he is your guy.

I'm just wondering WHY all the Negative comments about the Gus Bus returning to the plains. With a little effort and a good defense, who knows, we could probably win another NC and a big plus is that Nicky does not like the no-huddle, hurry-up offense. I especially like that point.

This **would** be IMHO a mistake of epic proportions. First, he was at least part of the problems in the first place and took Dyer with him who was the biggest of the headaches (and gave him multiple opportunities at Ark State before dismissing him). Second, it's going to be very difficult to bring in a quality D coordinator when the head coach runs 'his' system, meaning he won't bend it for anyone, and it's a system built on running up big offensive numbers. D wins championships, particularly in the SEC. With Cam it really wasn't his arm or his legs running out of the pocket that was so incredible in making his offense go, it was picking up EVERY 3 and 1 or 2. I just don't see being able to consistently do that in the SEC without a Cam Newton. Third, you do lose all the D recruits from this class, and that's a major loss for a program that desperately needs that help. This leads to the most important pt, fourth, I don't see how he as learned to build a program, and that's what is necessary. He has a scheme and is intelligent. But we need a program builder. And in this regard his mentors are Nutt and Chizik. Not an impressive lineage. Of all candidates he was the only one I felt there was more downside than up.

We are going to continue to lose to uatea, uga,, lsu and now tamu. We will be west division cellar dwellers. Auburn is destined for dark days. I love Auburn, but it's sad that I can get this upset about something I have no control over.
