Though I was warming to the idea of a Smart hire, I can get behind this. I was hoping Gus would get lured back as oc regardless. With a great dc hire, auburn will be back running on all cylinders soon.

I'm sorry, but it was CAM who got us that crystal football. We didn't win it the year before with C. Todd did we? When we got to the meat of the schedule that year we lose 5 out of 7. Maybe with all this re-alignment we can move to the SunBelt.

My take FWIW……..I will support Gus and whatever staff members he hires. I hope he surprises me and does a fantastic job. I felt all along we needed new blood to come in without preconceived opinions (both for coaches and players). Jacobs and Gouge on the other hand will never get support from me as long as they are associated with AU. This was a status quo hire for them and I will tell anyone who will listen that these two guys are complete BOOBS and need to be FIRED!!

Nice, now AU can have even more thugs running around campus. Not to mention the man's psychotic wife. Jay Jacobs does it again, hires an unproven coach to run one of the original 6 conference powers. I guess I don't have a choice, it's not like I can pull for Bama. At least we know Nick is probably happy with the hire, he's already seen all the gimmick plays in Gus' bag.

When we were kicking the turds' butts 3,4,5, and however many in a row I had several people come up to me in my business and say that, "they was gonna start pullin' for Auburn since it didn't seem like Alabama could beat them no more". Without exception I told them that we didn't need them, keep on pulling for UAT.

To the bitchers, moaners, whiners, and complainers: Thank you for your previous support of Auburn Athletics. If you are an Alum please contribute to the new BILLION dollar capital campaign through the academic school from which you received your degree. You are, of course, free to support any athletic team or none. Maybe even the Panthers. Pro football might be a better fit for you.

If you are NOT an alum OR contributing member of TUF. It's your money and time, but if you haven't given AU anything but grief by now, you never will. Go root for the turds; you'll be right at home.

Anyone not on board needs to leave the ship for good. Enough of the nansayers nonsense. It's time to move on. All of us had opinions and everyone can't decide. We gave this to a committee and let's assume they know more than all of us collectively. Be an Aubie or GET OUT FOR GOOD.
