Keeping CTT around to signing day just to hang to a few recruites would be wrong, If the playersreally stayed only because they thought CTT was staying then you fire him they would all ask for and get a release.

None of us have a crystal ball... All speculation over what Foster, Liner and crew will do is wasted time. None of us know what an 18 year old kid is going to do. These kids have options. Lots of them. I hope they choose Auburn for the right reasons. Malzahn will build his team. Good or bad, it will be his team. I personally like this move. What may be best for Auburn today or for this recruiting class may not be best for us in the long term. I hope Foster stays. I hope he leads other young men to Auburn and becomes the next legendary linebacker in a long lineage of legends. I hope Rocker and D. Craig return home to The Plains. I'm glad we didn't hire Petrino and very glad we did not hire Smart. Malzahn is our guy and I'm grateful Auburn chose a man who will instill discipline, integrity and honor to our team. I'd rather lose every game than cheat one ounce. Let everyone else buy players. Let 's build men. Let's uphold the standards of the Auburn Creed and the Win/Loss column will take care of itself. Let's be the best we can be. War Eagle!!

I already think MUCH HIGHER of Gus!!!!! Wow, super move and super smart. I'm so glad to see Trooper Taylor gone. I knew there was going to be discipline problems when Trooper was allowed to wear his cap backwards on the sideline representing Auburn.
He can give any reason he wants but there was ZERO leadership when a coach is allowed to dress like he just left the hood. Odds are if there is NCAA violations the name Trooper will be tied to it

Gus Malzahn's first move at Auburn was a great one. Malzahn fired the entire staff including Trooper Taylor. So glad to see Trooper gone. I said in year one that Chizik had no discipline when Trooper was allowed to represent Auburn on the sidelines wearing his cap backwards as if he had just walked into the local hood. After watching Trooper nobody should have been surprised that Auburn recruited 42 players that are not on the team anymore due to jail, team rule violations and academic failure.
I'm afraid the name Trooper Taylor will be heard at Auburn for a long time but only because of the NCAA investigation
Before anyone starts telling me he wears it that way in memory of his Dad let me say it still looks bad and makes no sense...lol.
