My guess is that they talked to one Auburn fan right after the hire and they wanted Kirby Smart so they put their bias along with it and wham! You have every Auburn fan in the country hating the hire in their mind. Right, that makes so much sense.

And by the way, I'm about damn sick of hearing this offense can't win without a really good quarterback. Okay, let's suppose for just a second that you're right. Which, I disagree with personally because I think an offense like Gus's needs a great running back more than anything else. Cam Newton gave us that third and short option we needed. But regardless, don't you think that those quarterbacks like that will WANT to play at Auburn and compete for a national championship? Don't you think Gus will attract the top notch kids all over the nation?
