I suppose they do say essentially the same thing as the circumstances are similar and much the same thing must be said to the audiene. What Malzahn said is required stating. Would you have him say nohing facing an audience that is really wanting a big change from what was served every Saturday in the season 2012. He'd be hung from the nearest tree if he didn't, and mean every word.

Sorry, but if you are talking about actual BCS games - that remains to be seen. We are in THE toughest league in College Football. Some points would have helped last year. With no Assistant coaches announced, the winning of developing whatever talent we have and might get - also remains to be seen. No doubt Gus will give it a solid go. However, as he has already said, "we have some big challenges".

Hopefully a lot more than some may think. He did show some soft hands that could lead to a lot of time at Lutzenkirchen's old spot. Lutz blocked a lot when Gus was here. I know Fulse and Uzomah are there too, but it is a physical position and it couldn't hurt to have depth.
