MUST READ on BP.... DO IT!!!

  • A buddy of mine was dead set against Petrino until he read this from Louisville writer. I too was against Petrino until the OM and Vandy games. Our team's ineptitude made me reconsider my stance, but if that hadn't done it, this article would have.

  • Wow. I've been ok with Petrino being the next coach but just never thought he could be hired due to his past. Sounds like he is what we need to get the program back to winning.

  • Great reading!

The program would be OPPOSITE what we currently have. No wonder Petrino is gaining ground.

Do you think for one minute the ptb in Arkansas didn't know who BP was hiring and why? Of course they did. They winked and said "this conversation never took place" then stamped her hire ok.

    Bring him in today!

Here's a post further down page that nailed exactly what the article was saying- sounds like what we need!

Here is a classic example of failure too perform for borderline programs that would aspire too be great ones. Petrino style coaching is not so much of the man but what he teaches through dicipline and accuracy of execution with a focus toward the team to work together too obtain maximum control through efficient execution of plays.the company's I have worked for in the past were the same in my line of work (which the type is doesn't matter)but how the chain of command is adhered too. When a organization is strict and rules are sternly followed. The company has better success in profitability and quality is high with fewer disatisfied customers and safety is higher. So we could all learn from the Bobby Petrinos.

  • This confirms he is a good football coach.......not a good man. BTW this isn't a creed issue it is a judgement issue. Why will he start displaying good judgement at Auburn?

$21 million dollar mistakes will cause you to evaluate your decisions. He's gaining the trust from his family back, and he will gain the trust of some lucky program soon. I can only hope that is AU.

I am in the Petrino camp, and want to see him on the sidelines next year in Orange & Blue. Your question is very valid, and deserves to be answered. I imagine he will have to answer that question face to face with the committee. I know it is hard to hear "trust the process", when we all feel the process has burned us in the past. But, what choice do we as fans really have? In this case I have to trust the process. If he is hired, I have to trust that he convinced the committee that he is the man for the job, not just from an X &O perspective, but from the perspective of guys that love AU and would not intentionally put it in jeopardy. At the end of the day, I think that is the struggle that they face. And if he passes through them, then all I can do is trust that they made the best decision/recommendation that they believe is best for this University. If he doesn't make it through, then I will trust their decision and understand that they just couldn't come to terms with his future decision making or some other factor.
Then I can actually do something - - I can support the new coach, his staff, and the players. I will cheer for them. I will feel good after wins, and probably moan after losses. I will buckle my seat belt, put the tray in the locked and upright position, and go for the ride.
    WDE to you!
