This didnt take long....
NCAA investigators have questioned a former 7-on-7 team head coach of Redmond named Byron De'Vinner. De'Vinner was also the same 7-on-7 coach of current Auburn University running back Jovon Robinson. Robinson, who like Redmond is from Memphis, is having his eligibility investigated currently by the NCAA as well.

I will be so glad when we can just play some football. Seems like there is something daily I don't want to know! I don't think for a second that we bought anyone a car. Not that he isn't a great pick up but if we were going to go "all out" like that I would think it would have been to keep the RB we lost. I just hate that once again we will have to hear our name mixed with the words NCAA.

How did you get involved in coaching a 7-on-7 football team?
"Actually, it was two years ago. Scout.com contacted me about putting a team together. Andrew Bone, who is from the Alabama Scout.com site, asked me about putting a Tennessee team together to play in the Badger 7-on-7 in Birmingham, Alabama. At the time, I didn't know how it worked. And getting kids together to play teams from Georgia and Florida was was going to be really tough to do. But with the help of high school coaches in the West Tennessee area, including Memphis, it turned out to be really successful.
