After growing up an Arkansas cotton farm, Auburn offensive line coach J.B. Grimes has done it the hard way.
Good read always great to read a pm story.
Glad JB is on our sidelines, good read!
We will see a big difference over last years O line. We have the talent. I'm looking forward to seeing what Coach Grimes does with these kids. I will really be watching Greg Robinson, he's a beast and I know that J.B. will have him coached up and ready to play. WDE!
You had me he grew up a farmer's son in Arkansas.

It's a new day in Auburn football!
"If you can't put your faith in an Auburn man, who can you put your faith in?"
Very nice story. Thanks for that read! WDE!
Go get'em Coach Grimes. Make the most out these young men. War Eagle.
There are so many pearls of wisdom coming from this coach. These kids/players are very fortunate to have him as a mentor for football and life. I'm excited for them and for AU football.
"It’s not surprising that Grimes considered the Marine Corps. He has the look and the demeanor of a soldier. "
Great article! One thing though, a Marine isn't a soldier, he's a Marine. The Army deploys soldiers. The Marines deploy Marines.
Great read. Looking forward to see our OLine develop under Grimes.
I have a feeling that somebody may not make it through spring drills. And, some will persevere and become men.
Coach Grimes sounds great! I can't wait to see how his influence on these young men makes our team better on the field this year.
He fills the Auburn creed to a T. He's an Auburn man...so glad he is!
I am pumped. He reminds me a lot of my high school coach, Jay Jefcoat. Tough, fair, and character-builder.

Speaking of offensive coaches with the last name "Grimes", I will always be stumped as to why Jeff Grimes didn't get better results over the last 2 seasons. Was it the overall leadership issues that trickled down to individual positions and coaches? Too much youth? Not enough talent?
Insight anyone??? Not trying to dwell on the past or take away from the story on the new Grimes, it's just been a nagging question with me because he seemed to be so well regarded as one of the best coaches on Chizik's staff.
