This is a very uncommon virtue amongst today's players and recruits. Not as many as some schools, but we definitely have our share of players here at AU that could learn alot from these statements. But sometimes, that's not necessarily a bad thing. You need a few guys on every team that know just how good they are, but those same guys need a level of self-awareness to see when they aren't living up to their abilities and work hard to get their level of productivity back up. My CWO3 would always say "Know yourself, and always seek self-improvement." Those few words have transformed my life.

Mr. Lawson's words started sympathetic vibrations and should have. They marked an understanding at the very beginning of what may very well be more fame than he ever imagined that entails fame's responsibility and may someday block events in his life similiar to what we see elsewhere. But if one looks at Coach Chizilk's recruits, not many are run of the mill athletes. Many suggest something better than run of the mill. That's very encouragng as Auburn has to climb out of a very deep hole in recruiting, and Auburn isn't tnere yet in spite of the enthusiastic assessments of the fan base. I'm certainly not pointing fingers at anyone as you all know, weeks even months ago AU49 was a charter member of that enthusiastic fan base and am still.

I love his attitude and humble nature. He and Liner are going to be awesome along with Adams if they can get him on board. What a DL haul this could be.

Can't believe nobody quoted that one yet. It appears that Mr. Lawson has some insight that we don’t. Young man does seem to have his head on straight and I’m looking forward to seeing him in the Burn colors over the next few years.

Absolutely. There are many more evaluations opportunities ahead. Liner still has his senior season and will likely play in Ala-Miss all-star game and a national all-star game.
