DE commit Carl Lawson talks about the Heisman statue presentation.
Sounds like a pretty-humble young man. Looking forward to seeing this kid line up with the good guys next year!
"We're all family here. Other people say, ‘Hey, we love our sports. We love this and that,’ but here at Auburn, we love Auburn.” Bo Jackson
Cool stuff. Got a little worried there when I saw the subtitle to this article on the main page. It says, "DE commit Carl Lawson." Too early and I thought it said "decommit Carl Lawson." Whew!
This is what it looks like when a man makes heaven
come out of his six string
kick 'em in the ass, big blue.
What I appreciate is that he states he's accompanying friends to Ole Piss. It's cool with me that he makes this trip. I would rather know ahead of time instead of finding out from another website.
I would hope all our commits would be up front with these visits and if they do, I would hope our fans would give them space and show them lots of love and appreciation.
I think it can turn a commits thought about his decision if fans treat them as property after they make a commitment. BUT they too need to be considerate of their COMMITMENT and not sneak around with visit or visitors.
As a man, if someone (recruiter) came to my home or school for a visit after I committed to another team and that visitor told me to "keep it down home" I would ask them WHY? Be a man and state that out of professional courtesy and consideration to their commitment they should inform their coaches of the visit or trip! It is a selfish act and lacks integrity for a commitment not to do this one simple thing.
I am not saying let 247 , Rivals, or Scout know their every move, but at least let the team you committed too know.
This is why TJ Yeldon and his family get no respect from me. None. He’s a great player with a bright future, but as far as his integrity is concerned he is DIRT.
To make it clear. If a commitment is public then visits to other schools should be made public too. Visitors to HS or Home not so much! That is private and only the coaches he committed too should know should that be the case.

Carl Lawson is an impressive person. I wish we had a roster full of people like him.
Too bad Dee Liner didn't make it to the Heisman presentation. I know it was more impressive than uatea's spring game. I really don't like uatea.
and also Dee Ford was the best player on his team out of st clair county.
WE COMING . WAR EAGLE !
Dee Ford was also a sacking machine in highschool. He had an unbelievable number of sacks his senior year.
