Acc'd to his father, Guss, Cal has been eliminated and it's down to Notre Dame and Auburn. A source believes ND is the team to beat now.

One can make that assumption but I don't know that for a fact. Nor do I know for a fact he'll choose Notre Dame. He may choose Auburn. I'm just passing along info from a person that's close to the Armstead family.

Why would you want to go to ND when you can play with the Big Boys in the SEC? Everyone knows the SEC puts out the best D lineman. Hope he thinks this through.

Guarantee his brother can play there, the chance to play at USC every other year would be a short travel for his parents.

I like this kid, I don't care where he winds up. I hope he DOES decide to come to Auburn but either way...
There was a quote from him last night where he said something like, "Auburn coaches showed me a lot of respect by coming out to California to see me so many times, I came to show them respect and see Auburn for myself," When I read that I saw him basically saying he wasn't coming here to school but felt he owed it to the staff to at least visit. I admire that in the kid (and the parents who seem to have raised him and his brother the right way). He would make a good Auburn Man.

i know his Dad and brother visited Notre Dame but did he make it up there.
