Not at all, just thought he might want someone with a little experience and might actually have there on opinion you know a coordinator. We are going up against saban- smart I hope ark st staff can keep up. How much kool aid is left.
Why don't you wait and see how he does before making any assumptions about what he can and can't do. Look, I know that nicky and kirby are a strong team but they're not the holy duo. Plus I the the over/under for nick retiring is 5 years - I'll go with the under - and KS will leave to be a HC somewhere sooner rather than later. Don't think this won't be a popular topic of conversation during recruiting. One benefit of Lashee's youth is his ability to relate to kids. Plus 29 isn't that "young" these days. Also found out while looking at his bio, that he and I have the same birthday - Gemini's rule!
Since Gus likes to be on the field. Having a right hand man that can be in the booth that can see things and has 100% trust from Gus to throw in a play call or two, or override one or two could be a big advantage.
I imagine a scenario where AU is driving and Lashlee from the box can see a safety is biting hard on the counter before the hand off is made. Lashlee knows a bootleg to a skinny post with TE will get 30. He calls down to Gus and says run the annexation of puerto rico on 2nd down.
I would think Gus would have enough trust in Lashlee to run the play without needing to be told all the detail of why.
All this is assuming Gus is calling plays
