One thing that I have noticed is that GC never developed a great LB while he was HC. Which is unusual because Auburn has always had great linebackers, no matter who the HC was. Dye had Kevin Greene, Quentin Riggins, Aundrey Bruce and many others. Bowden had Takeo Spikes. Tubbs had Dansby. Who did GC have? I would say Josh Bynes, but he was recruited by Tubbs and started as a freshman under Tubbs. I would give most of the credit to Tubb. It's amazing because GC was a linebacker in college and yet our LB play was always poor.
