Thanks. I just got a text a few minutes ago tha he had passed away. Now I am hearing that was a false report, and that he is on life support. I am hearing a self-inflicted gunshot to the head. This is terrible news for the entire Auburn Family, whatever happened.

That's great news. Love to observe Auburn's program slowly becoming accepted from coast to coast as a great program. Accepted more in the minds of some talent than Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and maybe Southern Cal. Gene Chizik is doing it. The record over the past three years shows that Jacobs couldn't have done better. But, let us not lord it over our opposition. It still takes three years to evaluate a recruited class. That hits opposition too. I have no doubt that our coaching meets the best that BAMA and LSU have shown, but they are there, and we're just coming. The offensive line is shaping up to support both the passing and running game. But a well oiled offense needs a crackerjack quarterback and although Auburn has recruited and continues to recruit well regarded quarterbacks, coach Loeffler has to polish up one quickly if our asperations for championships are to be met. His credentials say he will. I wonder who it will be.
