I think Mr Kozan is absolutley right that "Auburn is the best place for me". He obviously felt the stress of recruiting and the limelight that it brings. The words of praise but then again sometimes hurtful. Some promises, some demands. He was either deliberate or he struggled with the decision. Either way I think the coaches that will care about him as a player and young man. I think the Auburn family will show nothing but support to him; making Auburn the right place for him to be. Welcome to the Auburn family!

Welcome to AU, Alex! This kid handled a post-signing day decision as well as I've seen...he kept to himself, didn't play out his decision in the court of public opinion, no press conferences on national TV....he just took his time, thought it out, and came to the conclusion that Auburn is his best option. Great example of how to handle this situation young man. WAR EAGLE!

This puts us back in the top 10 with some recruiting outlets. But does it really matter? We have what is about to be a 2 year starter at linebacker who was a freshman All-American safety who was rated a two-star. Its the guy, not the stars.

You have to love this kid. Alex is an Auburn man already. He didn't play hat tricks. It was never "hey look at me." He just wanted to make sure he made the right choice. You mark ole Wax's words he will go down as one of Auburn's favorites. Another Kodi Burns type kid. Team first Alex second.

As far as numbers, Grimes should have more than 15 scholarship OL to work with for the first time since he arrived at Auburn. The Tigers will have 16 if you include former walk-on Blake Burgess, who has also played as a blocking tight end. Grimes would like to have 15-17 OL on the roster at a time. With only one senior, Auburn will sign a small OL class in 2013.
