I'd think that this would be about the only direction to go, aside from going the interim route. A solid defensive guy can put in more of his package in fall practice than an offensive guy can. I'm not sure if it will happen, but his name continues to be mentioned over-and-over again on several sites....also saw mention of Bobo, and I think that's just silly. Another one said that Pete Caroll declined any serious conversation, but recommends Sarkisian from UW, his former OC at USC...if I was Long, I think I'd throw the farm at Smart...

As an AU fan, I'd just love to see the reaction in the neck tide nation if it happens....
