Kolb was just on the Scott Van Pelt show. They asked him about Cam and what his defensive teammates might have thought or said. Kolb said that by about the middle of the 3rd of quarter the defense was thinking "this guy is for real, he can really do it". He said that you could tell he settled in and was really making plays and some tough, tight throws.
He said that you see the throw to the wide open Steve Smith in the high lights, but that Cam was making tough throws all day and that if he keeps working he's going to be a star in the league.
Van Pelt went on to say that you just don't throw for 400+ yards without making some serious throws along the way.
He may have a 25 quarterback rating next week, but I think we've seen enough to know that he's probably going to make it and make it big in the league.
he has a tough challenge this week against GB, but if he even puts up half of what he did and keeps the INTs to a min, he will be considered great in my book. GB, Ravens, Steelers, and Bears have the best D's and if he can put up decent numbers against them, he will prove why he was the no. 1 pick and not someone else.
Go get 'em Cam.
I was really impressed by some of the throws he was making to the perimeter for 10-15 yd gains. A few very well timed laser beams.
I didn't get to see the game but did Ziemba play any?
War Eagle !!!
btw, does anyone else think TVP's sidekick is a horse's ****?
I remember him saying he guaranteed Bama would beat us...than he "guaranteed" OU would. Its not that he said, its the snarky way he says it. all in all ESPN no longer has the premiere on-air talent it used to.
just a rant.
