He ran up 89 and 96 against arguably the best defense in the country and 181 against a good Florida D. He also ran for 203 against us , and any time you run for 1600 yards in the SEC it's great numbers. It's not like he is a straight block and can't move at all. He has damn good moves for a guy his size. If he were to play for Auburn you honestly wouldn't be nit picking at stuff like this. He is a great back plain and simple.

I get your point. However....
Fla was not a good defense last year..Plain and simple. So 181 is good.
But if we are looking at what he is projecting in the NFL...Compare Cam getting over 200+ on the number one defense in the COUNTRY that year....To Trent getting 89- 96 against the best denfeses...Everybody knew both would run but one was unstopable and the other could be contained. And one was A QB.
So if we take that 89-96 agaisnt the great defenses he is not looking to get more than 50-60 yds against PRO DEFENSES. And with him Being a Brown and having to play against Baltimore Pittsburg he is gonna get shut down.
Thats what I base my comments on. Now ALL DEFENSES have great speed and talent to burn..You are now as Ray Ray said A ROOKIE...And the comaprisons to AP and Ladanian Tomlinson are just hot air at this point. There is no way that he holds a candle to them right now. Now I could and have been very wrong in the past. But if you really look at the GREAT backs that have come out in the last few years...Arian Foster+better than Rent...Chris Johnson= BEtter than Trent. Now they didnt get the hype comming out because they didnt have a script A on their helmet....But now he is wearing an ORange Helmet and is going to be asked to tote the rock more than he ever did at bama against teams that are WAY better than what he faced in college.
Thats all im sayin. I think you are saying that I dont feel like he was great in collge which is untrue..I think we a beast and did a great job in college...BUt going into the pros he could very well be "Average". Thats what my point is.

I will not down Jim Brown because he was one of the greatest ever, but I think he is wrong on this one. I know I will get a barrage of downvotes for this, but Trent is anything but average. Maybe there is something I'm missing, but I would ask anyone who disagrees to point out a glaring weakness. He is a strength freak, has good speed, and great vision. Even all the experts say he is the best runningback to come out since Adrian Peterson.
I think he is twice the back that Mark Ingram is and I think that will show. I don't really get how anyone could really call him average.

Your logic here doesn't make any sense either. It's not just the other teams he will be facing that will be better. His teammates and he himself will be and get better as well. You can spin it any way you want, but there is no denying Trent was a great college back and has the potential to be a great pro back as well. Will his game definitely translate to the NFL? No, but only time will tell. No one can say for absolute certainty what he will do, but to call him an ordinary or average back is ignorance.
