Good stinkin' grief, man. I believe Pat Dye referred to us as "the University of Auburn" in 1981 when he was introduced. Don't believe it made much of a difference.

You know it as Auburn University... It is not a big deal... Doesn't bother me...
Someone could educate folks, but it is a minor deal.... Lots going on and they are very very busy...

Never understood the problem with this. Who cares? Sure, technically its "Auburn University" but to those that are not alumni and have never had any association with Auburn, it doesn't compute with them. To get upset about it with someone who has been associated with Auburn for 1 whole day out of his entire life is crazy, IMO.
