Jay Prosch on green jerseys

Auburn fullback/H-back Jay Prosch said today that, by the end of winter workouts, most Auburn players had earned green jerseys for their work in the weight room.
Under new strength and conditioning coach Ryan Russell, green jerseys are considered championship level. Blue jerseys are next, followed by orange.
Prosch said the jerseys are based on a formula that includes tangible progress, leadership and attitude.
"At the last workout yesterday, only 5-10 people didn't have green jerseys," Prosch said.

Probably will be obvious in spring (definitely by September) who is not in "Green" if things don't change.

My only concern here is that most everyone ended up with a green jersey. If everyone has a green jersey then we're all winners, "here's your juice box and orange slice". The distribution should be more like a bell curve, some green some orange and most blue. IF everyone has a green jersey, which is the championship level, then we should win a championship next season.
Just sayin'.

I appreciate the doubt voiced as related to the participation award angle and awarded a +1, but I have a slightly different take. The fact that most lost the green then earned it back tells me that they have improved their habits and are working out with increased effort. I don't suspect that most are at a championship level. I instead suspect that they working out with a championship caliber attitude. That's a very good start.
