Really everyone calling Jacobs an idiot must feel a little silly hearing him articulate many of the reasons for firing Chizik that they claimed were problems he failed to grasp. Also, he said the Arkansas game was really the catalyst for the process resulting in Chizik's firing, which was another thing many people claimed Jacobs could not appreciate. Also Tim Jackson is gone from the football program.
Jacobs is handling his business and really he's doing it the right way.
I'm confident our next coach will be a clear touchdown hire.

This is a huge personal failure at a place that was Chizik's dream job. I'm not sure why Auburn fans immediately ignore that and default to money. This is the kind of thing that takes many years to get over, if getting over it is even possible. Truthfully, I wouldn't trade places with Chizik.
