As far as Jaquay or any recruit goes, we're not going to report a commit or decommit until we hear it from the kid, a close family member or Coach directly. I said in our Recruiting Notes Friday he was Auburn's shakiest commit at the moment so his status could change at anytime.

The first of many.

I hope Jaquay stays, but if he can enroll early Auburn's chances Suck. Is he still on time to enroll early?

Also; have you spoken to J. Johnson since he made his comments to WSFA?
I took a fierce beating here for suggesting he is not all in for Auburn and maybe Auburn should not be all in for him should he DE commit after CGC is fired.
It was apparent to me from the down votes that kissing up to a high profile recruit is preferred over hiring an outstanding head coach. I know it does not matter to the decision makers what a recruit might say publicly, but when CGC is shown the door do you think Johnson DE commits? What are the odds he gives us a fighting chance?

I live in Montgomery and watched JJ play several times. I have spoken to the kid in passing with a "Good Game" "WDE" "Yada. Yada". He seemed pretty solid to Auburn in his replies. I would love to have him hold firm to his commitment regardless of his appreciation for CGC.

If I had to make a Sophie's Choice, I would choose Defense recruits to stick. I know we need a QB and WR desparately. Especially if we continue down this offensive philosophy, but damn we need some play makers at the LB position.

Not for nothing, but can I ask why?
