There is one common denominator in Auburn's undefeated seasons, the team had gone through tough times the year(s) prior to going undefeated. I guess the old saying "where there is always sunshine there is a desert below" is true. Hopefully, all the turmoil Aubrun has gone through since winning the National Championship has prepared this team to handle adversity and have a great season.

Correct, in fact, as many of you know, only Nebraska has three perfect seasons since 1990. Those were in 1994, 95, and 97. Now, not to disrespect those teams, as they were great, great teams, among the best ever in some people's eyes. However, to me, they were very much the same teams. Lots of players carried over from one to the next. Same staff. Very much the same opponents each year too. It was like a little mini-era.

The three Auburn perfect seasons, 1993, 2004, and 2010, were all achieved, as you know, with different staffs, different leaders, different players, against very different teams in different eras. It was capturing that magic in three completely different contexts of football. Three completely different magical accomplishments. Personally, I could see how those 3-4 years were an amazing time for Nebraska, but I prefer the way Auburn did it. I like experiencing the "special" seasons with a different players overcoming different challenges and different opponents.

The three perfect seasons really are something to be very proud of. We're 13th on the all-time wins list, look at the perfect seasons of the 12 teams in front of us....

How annoying is it that LSU and Florida have 0 perfect seasons but FIVE national titles, while Auburn has 3 perfect seasons that have led to only ONE national title. Luck plays a big part, no question.
