As soon as you say this seems like... you can't technically be wrong because it involves how YOU feel about the hire. That said, you are wrong. This is a solid hire.

Have you actually looked at his résumé? Do you know anything about him beyond the fact he was at Ark State?

Welcome. An observation if I may--seems like we will have a more mature staff in place this year. Perhaps that might help instill a more purposeful "team" ethic of work, sacrifice, and unity.

This is a good hire. Here are the reasons I believe this 1. There is no one of any standing in the coaching world at any level that does not believe that JB is an excellent OL coach. Nobody-High School, College or NFL. When you find one let me know. 2. This guy has been hired buy some of the best head coaches in the buisness and has never left the job unless the head coach left (read fired) . One exception was Va Tech. for Texas A&M for a significant pay raise. 3. The other name mentioned, Hand of Vanderbilt, is no better. Who is he? Never heard of him until recently. JBs beens putting his players in the NFL for 25 years. Seriously who is he? Why do we think the OL coach from Vandy is a homerun hire? Sorry,don't get it.
I don't know how many games Auburn will lose next year but I'll bet none of them will be because JB Grimes was the OL coach. He teaches and demands physical football from his players. God knows we need some of that.

Thanks cm for the positive post. I am glad there are some of us who see thru the "another Arky State" hire. The knuckleheads don't do any research, they just post because the name of the coach is not a "known" name. Geesh.
I believe his OL was #5 in the nation last year in giving up the fewest sacks. He will mentor, coach and discipline. His OL will not be an issue for losses.
